It’s a weekend of concerts, gigs, and music festivals here in Brooklyn. Check out the Brooklyn Night Bazaar for some light holiday shopping and a small concert, or follow the Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival all weekend around Brooklyn to see some of the hottest names in EDM.
Tomorrow is the first day of August but the last month of summer, and there is no better way to end the summer than living it up with some sun, fun, and lots of music. Luckily, there are plenty of parties and events to help ease you out of your summertime sadness. Head to Rockaway for some art and disco, or keep it local and see John Legend perform at Barclays Center, just one stop from Hotel BPM!
This little break from all the snow and cold is a good enough reason to fill your weekend with all that’s going on in NYC. Take advantage of the “warm” weather in the coming days and cram in some music, art, and of course food and booze…before it starts to snow again!
Valentines day seems to be the most dreaded holiday of the year. And on top of that, this crazy winter storm sweeping the east coast doesn’t seem to be helping. But that’s no reason to stay in and drown yourself in a bottle of red wine and boxes of chocolate. Whether you’re spending the day with your significant other or your best friends, there’s a place for everyone to go to spend with their loved ones.
With all of these winter storms, it seems harder and harder to get out of the house. But a great cocktail at a great bar may be just the push you need to make the journey to one of these bars in Brooklyn. Whether you enjoy classic cocktails, craft beers, or a honky tonk band, check out some new bars and some neighborhood favorites.
It’s about that time to have a refresher on what has been going on in music this past week. It can be pretty difficult trying to keep up with how many tattoos Miley Cyrus has or what Lady Gaga is going to pull next after her new album release. So here is a list of some things you missed last week and things you won’t want to miss coming up!
Sensation is probably the biggest dance and music celebration in the world, and they’re having their 100th global show at no place other than Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on October 26, 2013. “Ocean of White,” which is their most popular show combines theatrics, acrobatics, and a showcase of the best EDM DJs to create one amazing dance party. The only rules are you must wear white and be prepared to dance the night away in the company of an amazing lineup including Mr.White, Fedde Le Grand, Nic Fanciulli, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and MC Gee. There’s no better time than now to BOOK your room with promo code: “AHBPM” to book any room for $216 at Hotel BPM Brooklyn, which is just 1 subway stop away from Barclays Center, and buy your tickets here to attend the finale of Sensation’s US tour on October 26th at 7pm. If you’re not already convinced, check out some of these photos from last year’s sold out shows.
CMJ 2013 is coming up and it is by far one of the best city-wide music marathons for up and coming artists looking to be discovered. To sum it up, it’s 5 days, 1,400 live performances, and 80 venues, all in either New York City or Brooklyn. Hotel BPM has teamed up with Vibe Chrome Card this year in support of this musical celebration and are hosting a showcase in NYC. It all kicks off the 15th and ends the 19th so we’ve scouted out some of the Brooklyn venues that will not disappoint. If you’re not from New York and want to go anyways, BOOK a room at our Brooklyn hotel and you could even go for all five nights.
It seems like there were a lot of music releases this week that we just couldn’t ignore. Drake is even helping us gear up for his new album Nothing Was the Same. Here’s what you missed and what’s coming up in music this week!
